Phnom Penh. TV5 Monde, a large international television station broadcasting to more than 200 regions around the world, to film a documentary on “Cambodia’s Prosperous Growth”, showcasing Cambodia’s tourism potential to people around the world.
On the afternoon of November 16, 2025; H.E. Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, grants a courtesy to Mr. Michaël Darmon and Mr. Yves Derai, well-known journalists, producers and writers of TV5 Monde, a large international television station in the world with an audience of more than 421 million, to meet and discuss the work, exchange ideas, and request high-level recommendations on the documentary film project on “Cambodia’s Prosperous Growth” under the wise and visionary leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia since the mandate of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo until the current Samdech Thipadei, at the Ministry’s headquarter.

During the constructive meeting, H.E. Minister highly appreciated and deeply thanked the initiative of the two famous French journalists to film a documentary film that is historical, factual and international in nature, linking it to the emerging tourism potential with good investment opportunities, especially in the tourism sector.
H.E. Minister also emphasized that the Ministry of Tourism is ready to cooperate with producers on important projects that will not only benefit the Cambodian people but also the people of the world, so that they can understand the rich tourism potential, the priceless heritage, the wonders of Phnom Penh with the confluence of four rivers, the warm and famous hospitality, the “Cambodian smile”, especially the factors of peace, security, and development in all sectors that Cambodia is currently experiencing.
According to the producers, the film will be screened during the 20th Summit of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF or La Francophonie) in the upcoming November 2026 in Siem Reap.
