The beautiful cable-stayed bridge connecting National Road 5 to Chroy Changvar Satellite City has reached 56 percent so far, while the construction process is very active.
Nisihara, OCIC’s project manager, said over the weekend that so far 56 percent of the bridge’s construction has been completed as a whole, while the construction of the foundation is 100 percent completed.
“Currently, some pillars are being installed from the pedestals and one bridge girder is being installed,” he said. “We might say we are following the plan, which is scheduled to be completed by mid-2023.”
Touch Samnang, Deputy General Director of OCIC, once said that this is a bridge that OCIC will have to use the land grant from the Phnom Penh Capital Administration for investment in the Chroy Changvar satellite city of the future. He said that the bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with a length of about 500 meters and plans to build a budget of about 30 million US dollars.
“This bridge will help enhance the image of Phnom Penh and alleviate traffic congestion on the Chroy Changvar bridge,” he said.
