Phnom Penh,. H.E. Mr. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, grants Mr. Michael Cheow, Chairman of C. Michael International Sdn. Bhd., and a delegation of investors from Malaysia a courtesy call to discuss and to request for support from the Ministry of Tourism in organizing international tourism promotion events in Cambodia at the Ministry of Tourism’s headquarter.
During the discussion, Mr. Michael Cheow thanked H.E. Minister for allowing him and his Malaysian company representatives to meet to request for support and recommendations for the project called “The Kingdom’s Grand Prix & Gala,” which is planned to organize three major international tourism promotion events: the International Music Feast, a world-class music festival designed to celebrate both comtemporary artistic talent and Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage; 2). Professional Power Boat Racing, an exciting water sports event on Cambodia’s beautiful coastline to promote coastal tourism and environmental awareness; and 3). Grand Touring (Grand Touring) racing, an elite motosport racing event designed to promote Cambodia’s reputation among international automotive enthusiasts and high-spending tourists.
The company’s president also expressed strong confidence that these events will not only boost the local economy and create jobs, but also demonstrate Cambodia’s readiness to host large-scale and sophisticated international events.
