Siem Reap, His Excellency HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, held a working meeting with Angelina Jolie, the renowned Hollywood actress and President of the MJP Foundation, who has carried out humanitarian missions in Cambodia and many countries around the world. The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation in promoting tourism, as well as protecting Cambodia’s cultural and natural heritage.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on enhancing Cambodia’s reputation on the international stage through various activities such as promoting Cambodia’s tourist destinations, supporting community initiatives, advancing culture, arts, and social sectors, and conserving natural resources.
It is worth noting that, out of her love for Cambodia and its people, Angelina Jolie has been actively engaged in numerous humanitarian efforts in the country, particularly in natural resource and cultural conservation, film arts, education, healthcare, community support projects and sustainable tourism. She has also helped promote Cambodia’s tourism globally through films such as First They Killed My Father and Tomb Raider.
