Bursat,. The Ministry of Tourism and Pursat Provincial Administration, in collaboration with the private sector, continue to promote the development of high-end tourism in Pursat Province through a study visit to Samanea Wellness Resort
The Ministry of Tourism, the Pursat Provincial Administration, and private sector partners have reaffirmed their joint commitment to promoting and developing tourism in Pursat Province, with the vision of transforming the province into a high-end tourism destination capable of attracting both domestic and international visitors. The development of Samanea Wellness Resort represents an additional new tourism product and a high-value asset for Pursat Province as well as for Cambodia as a whole.
The company has contributed significantly to the preservation and conservation of the area’s natural resources in a beautiful and sustainable manner, helping attract tourists while aligning with the vision: “Conservation serves development, and development serves conservation.
During this mission, H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Lok Chumteav, together with H.E. Khoy Rida, Governor of the Board of Governors of Pursat Province, led a delegation on a study visit and inspection of the actual development progress at Samanea Wellness Resort, a beautifully transformed tourism resort located in Pursat Province. This investment reflects the creativity and vision of Cambodian investors and demonstrates the strong potential of Cambodia’s private sector in contributing to the development of tourism alongside the Royal Government of Cambodia in a quality and sustainable manner under the slogan “Khmer Together, Khmer Strong.”.
This visit also reflected the Ministry of Tourism’s continued efforts to advance its vision for developing high-end tourism products and wellness tourism in Cambodia, following the recent study visit by H.E. Minister Huot Hak to Koh Tatueng Resort in Koh Kong Province, which highlighted the immense potential of Cambodia’s nature tourism, luxury tourism along coastal areas, and eco-tourism destinations. The growth of such resorts demonstrates the increasing investment in quality tourism focused on unique experiences, privacy, wellness, and close connection with nature.
The delegation inspected key infrastructure and facilities at Samanea Wellness Resort, including luxury private villas, fitness and yoga facilities, swimming pools, organic farms, and restaurants, all designed to meet high standards for serving both domestic and international tourists.
On this occasion, H.E. the Minister expressed appreciation and high regard for the company’s investment and development of Samanea Wellness Resort into a luxury tourism destination with strong potential to compete in the international market and contribute to enhancing the image of Cambodia’s tourism sector.
The study visit was attended by leaders from the Ministry of Tourism, leaders of Pursat Province, representatives from tourism industry associations in Cambodia including CATA, CTF, and PATA, as well as national and international content creators, with a total participation of approximately 70 delegates.
