Phnom Penh, H.E. Mr. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism and Deputy Chairman of the National Committee and Co-Chairman of the Steering Group for the Organization of the Francophone Village Side Event, and H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs, Deputy Chairman of the National Committee for the 20th Francophone Summit2026 and Chairwoman of Sub-committee No. 5 “Summit Side Events” chaired the meeting of Sub-committee No.5 on “Review and Discussion of the Progress of Preparation for the Side Event”.
It is to note that the Francophonie Summit is a meeting between heads of state and government of the international organization of French-speaking countries (OIF) to discuss and exchange views on various issues such as international politics, world economy, Francophonie cooperation, human rights, education, culture and democracy, etc. On the occasion of the Francophonie Summit, two important side events are also organized: the Francophone Village and the FrancoTech Village. This great and historic international event is expected to be attended by more than 90 member countries in the world as well as a large number of national and international journalists, who will help promote the promotion of Cambodia’s tourism potential to the world and enhance Cambodia’s reputation on the international stage..
