CCC, KADIN to promote bilateral commercial sector

The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) are pushing cooperation on bilateral trade and investment, seeking cooperation on business in the framework of ASEAN.

The commitment was made in a meeting between CCC president Kith Meng and KADIN chairman Arsjad Rasjid, who is chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council 2023, in Phnom Penh yesterday.

The talks were focused on supporting and promoting the priorities of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, chaired by Indonesia for 2023 and the two sides also discussed cooperation between the two chambers of commerce to boost the Cambodian-Indonesian economic ties.

In the meeting, Meng warmly welcomed the business visit of a delegation of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council to Cambodia with an aim of promoting business and investment between ASEAN countries.

He also agreed in principle to support the content and priorities of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, chaired by Indonesia, for the common good of ASEAN as a whole.

He voiced support for the initiative of the ASEAN-Indonesia Business Advisory Council to promote trade and investment in the ASEAN region, especially the promotion of Cambodia-Indonesia economic relations.

“Cambodia is Indonesia’s potential market and also one of Indonesia’s largest business and investment partners,’ the CCC president said.

Arsjad Rasjid sought the support of CCC and the ASEAN-Cambodia Business Advisory Council on the priorities set by the ASEAN-Indonesia Business Advisory Council, including: digital transformation, sustainable development, resilience to health and security crises Food and trade facilitation.
