Kampongthom, H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, has called on tourism industry associations, training institutions, and the private sector to continue strengthening cooperation in hospitality training and tourism professional development in order to enhance the quality of human capital and tourism services, in line with the Ministry of Tourism’s vision of “One Employee, One Skill” and “One Service, One Standard.”
H.E. the Minister made these remarks during a certificate presentation ceremony for more than 200 participants who completed hospitality training courses at the Kampong Thom Polytechnic Institute. The event was held under the high presidency of H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group for Kampong Thom Province.
On this occasion, H.E. the Minister emphasized that human capital development remains a core priority for the tourism sector. This requires promoting new skills training, as well as reskilling and upskilling programs for tourism personnel, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, warm, and professional services.
H.E. the Minister also expressed his gratitude to H.E. VONGSEY Vissoth for his continued support and guidance in the development of Kampong Thom Province, particularly for the implementation of the Kampong Thom Tourism Development Plan 2026–2030, which will help position the province as an important tourism hub connecting the Siem Reap–Angkor region and the surrounding Tonle Sap areas.
