Kampong Speur, H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, together with H.E. Dr. Cheam Chan Sophorn, Governor of Kampong Speu Province, presided over a courtesy dialogue with the Chambok Ecotourism Community in Kampong Speu Province. The meeting aimed to hear progress reports, better understand the community’s challenges, and receive recommendations and feedback from local residents in order to jointly define strategic directions for enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of community-based tourism development.
The event was attended by Neak Oknha SUO Vireak, Director General of Virak Buntham Express Co., Ltd., senior officials of the Ministry of Tourism, representatives of relevant ministries and institutions, local authorities at all levels, and approximately 40 members of the local community.
On the occasion, H.E. the Minister commended the Chambok Ecotourism Community for its dedicated efforts in conserving natural resources, protecting the environment, and developing community-based tourism products that generate direct benefits for local residents.

H.E. the Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Tourism will continue to work closely with the provincial administration, relevant ministries and institutions, development partners, and the private sector to enhance service quality, develop tourism products, strengthen human resource capacity through training, and promote community-based tourism destinations more extensively.
H.E. the Minister also encouraged the community to continue safeguarding its natural resources while further improving cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and hospitality in order to enrich visitors’ experiences and establish the community as a model of sustainable and inclusive tourism development.
