Kandal, H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, and H.E. Dominic Williams, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, accompanied by colleagues from the British Embassy, paid a visit to Techo International Airport (KTI) to learn about the hospitality and various services provided to domestic and international visitors and passengers, as well as to meet and exchange views with competent officials on duty and representatives of the private sector operating at the airport.
During this important visit, H.E. the Minister and H.E. the Ambassador inspected and learned about passenger reception procedures, immigration processes, the use of the airport’s modern Smart Gates, and other services available at Techo International Airport.
On this occasion, both dignitaries commended and highly appreciated the airport’s modern facilities, international standards, and the readiness of all relevant stakeholders to warmly welcome visitors from around the world.
As part of the visit, the team also captured photos and video footage of Techo International Airport for promotional purposes, showcasing Cambodia’s latest achievement as well as the potential of the Kingdom’s tourism and aviation sectors to audiences around the world.
Speaking on the occasion, H.E. the Minister emphasized that Techo International Airport is a vital piece of infrastructure that will significantly contribute to strengthening international travel connectivity, promoting Cambodia’s diverse tourism potential, enhancing the competitiveness of the country’s tourism sector, and projecting Cambodia’s image as a safe, attractive, and welcoming tourism destination renowned for its warm hospitality.
