Phnom Penh: The Minister of Information, HE. Neth Pheaktra, expressed his support and appreciation for the establishment of the Cambodian Economic Media Association (CEMEA).
The Minister has allowing the leaders of the Cambodian Economic Media Entrepreneurs Association to pay a courtesy call and make recommendations on May 15.Z
President of the Cambodian Economic Media Entrepreneurs Association, Mr. Yin Leang Kong, informed the Minister that the association was established about two months after receiving permission from the Ministry of Interior, but the association has been actively working on the dissemination of national and international economic information in three languages: including Khmer, English and Chinese.
Mr Leang Kong said the association was established to support the government’s policy on the economy, so that the association can disseminate national and international economic information in depth to the national and international community, especially CEMEA wants to contribute to the training of human resources in information analysis as well.
In response, Information Minister Neth Pheaktra praised the association, by saying it was a good idea to focus on economic news rather than the dramatic news.
