Cambodia and China join hands and work together to promote the tourism sector and investment

Phnom Penh, Celebrating the 67th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations in 2025 with the Commitment “Cambodia and China, Join Hands, Share a Common Destiny, Promote Tourism and Investment for Development under the Shade of Peace”.

Phnom Penh: On the evening of August 18, 2025, at the invitation of the China Media Group (CMG), H.E. Mr. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, presides over and delivers a speech at the Cambodia-China Joint Art Performance under the theme “Wings of Peace”, Join Hands, Share a Common Destiny to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and China, under the high chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Ek Sam Ol, Privy Counsellor to the King of Cambodia and President of the Cambodia-China Friendship Association, with the participation of national and international distinguished guests from state and private institutions, Venerable Yan Shu, President of the Cambodian Shaolin Cultural Center, His Royal Highness Prince Sisowath Tesso, Director of the Bopha Devi Dance School, Mr. Lin Shi Qiang, President of the China-Cambodia Chambers of Commerce in Cambodia, Mr. Feng Hui, Managing Director of Cambodia-China Friendship Radio and Representative of the China Media Group (CMG), Mr. Lim Cheavutha, Founder and CEO of Fresh News Network, His Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, leaders and representatives of public institutions, journalists, businessmen, and more than 350 Cambodian and Chinese citizens at the Morgan Tower on Koh Pich.

Speaking on this occasion, H.E. Minister highlights that on the special occasion of the 67th anniversary of the establishment of official diplomatic relations between Cambodia and China, H.E. Minister expressed his thanks and high appreciation for the important and meaningful initiative of the CMG-organized “Cambodia-China Joint Art Performance” under the theme “Wings of Peace” which truly embodies the long history between the two countries that intersect at this auspicious time, and describes a single theme, which is a great legacy: the value of peace and the strength of steel friendship.

At the same time, H.E. Minister stressed out that Cambodia, having gone through the pain of decades of war and the recent border conflict with Thailand, can truly reflect to the world that Cambodia and the Cambodian people love and value peace very much, and truly cherish the development opportunities that peace brings. H.E. Minister would like to take this opportunity to express gratitude to the Chinese Government, the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, H.E. Mr. Wang Wenbin, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, who have contributed to promoting the negotiations until a ceasefire agreement was reached between Cambodia and Thailand, as well as Chinese friends in Cambodia who have joined forces with the Cambodian tourism family to provide financial support, materials and food to the displaced people along the Cambodian-Thailand border.
