Phnom Penh. On the afternoon of 27 November 2025, H.E. Mr. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, received H.E. JIANCAN, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of the Xizang Autonomous Region, and his high-level delegation for a courtesy call and an exchange of high-level views on tourism cooperation at the Ministry of Tourism.
During this fruitful first meeting, H.E. Mr. JIANCAN briefed on the remarkable development of the Xizang Autonomous Region over the past 60 years. Under the strategic guidance and vision of H.E. President Xi Jinping, the region has undergone transformation across all sectors, made significant progress in poverty reduction, and improved the living conditions of the Zang minority communities. Notably, the Xizang region has achieved sustainable development in cultural, natural, and religious tourism, attracting more than 50 million national and international tourists annually. The head of the delegation also shared various experiences in the creative development of tourism and invited H.E. Minister to pay an official visit to promote Cambodia’s tourism potential to the public and investors, as well as to gain first-hand insights.
