       Phnom Penh, The Ministry of Tourism to cooperate and support a culinary tourism promotion program linked to tourist destinations, “My Village , My Food,” produced by the telecommunications company- Viettel (Cambodia) Pte. Ltd. (Metfone).

H.E. Mr. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, granted permission to Mr. OUK Chipphal, representative of Viettel (Cambodia) Pte. Ltd (Metfone), along with esteemed colleagues, to pay a courtesy call and hold discussions on cooperation in the tourism sector between the Ministry of Tourism and the company at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, H.E. Minister highlights to the company that under the wise leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, the tourism sector is considered a priority sector and economy backbone of the national economy in line with conception from Samdech Akkar Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, Acting Head of State; contributing significantly to socio-economic development. Cambodia is a country rich in tourism potential, including cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and cuisine that embodies meaning and identity.

Mr. OUK Chipphal expressed his deep gratitude to H.E. Minister for allowing the company’s delegation to meet and discuss cooperation on supporting as well as the valuable recommendation on the “My Village, My Food” program, which aims to promote tourism destinations linking with Khmer cuisine, making them more attractive to the national and international visitors. This important program will be posted through the company’s media channel which can be viewed all continents.
