Phnom Penh, His Excellency Minister Huot Hak Presides Over the Signing Ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation to Promote the Tourism Sector within the Education Framework.
His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Tourism and the Federation of Education Services in Cambodia. H.E. Kather Mohamad Nosri, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism, and H.E. Dr. Hong Lim, President of the Federation of Education Services in Cambodia, served as signatories to the MoU on cooperation to promote the tourism sector within the framework of education.
This Memorandum of Understanding is an important document and a testament to a strategic partnership linking the tourism and education sectors.
It reflects a spirit of close cooperation and shared commitment to achieving the common goal of promoting tourism and hospitality, as well as developing quality human capital in the Kingdom of Cambodia, in line with the Pentagonal Strategy – Phase I of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly.
The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. the Permanent Secretary of State, Excellencies, Lok Chumteavs, leaders of the Ministry of Tourism, as well as Excellencies, Lok Chumteavs, Oknhas, ladies and gentlemen who are leaders and members of the Federation of Education Services in Cambodia, totaling approximately 300 participants.
Through this MoU, H.E. the Minister expressed confidence that cooperation between the two institutions would support the implementation of the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign from May to October, replacing the term “Low Season.” Furthermore, H.E. the Minister emphasized that transforming the “Green Season” is not merely a change in terminology, but rather a shift in mindset and a sharp national strategy. He noted that this season showcases Cambodia’s true beauty, with lush green landscapes, refreshing natural scenery, and a clean atmosphere that is especially suitable for nature tourism, ecotourism, and wellness retreats.
