Phnom Penh. Viet Nam’s Leading Tourism Company, Vietravel Corporation, Shows Strong Interest in Cambodia’s Tourism Potential and Expanding Its Tour Packages in Cambodia.

During a working visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, leading a high-level delegation from Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism and the private sector to promote the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign, showcase Cambodia’s tourism potential, and strengthen tourism cooperation with regional countries and international partners, H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, received a courtesy call from Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Kỳ, Chairman of Vietravel Corporation, and the company’s senior management team.

During the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Kỳ briefed the Minister on Vietravel Corporation’s business operations and sought the Minister’s guidance on the company’s new cross-border tour package, “Three Ancient Cities in Three Countries,” while also discussing ways to expand tourism cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in a more practical, effective, and mutually beneficial manner.

During the productive discussion, Vietravel Corporation expressed its strong interest in Cambodia’s diverse tourism potential and rich tourism resources.

The company also conveyed its intention to strengthen cooperation with Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodian private sector to promote tourist exchanges, jointly market tourism destinations, and develop collaborative tourism products between the two countries.

In response, H.E. the Minister highly appreciated and thanked Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Kỳ and Vietravel Corporation for their confidence in the leadership of the Royal Government of Cambodia and in Cambodia’s tourism potential as a destination for business expansion and investment. The Minister noted that tourism continues to receive strong policy support from the Royal Government and is recognized as one of Cambodia’s key economic pillars under the wise and visionary leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

As a result of the fruitful meeting, both sides agreed to advance practical cooperation through the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on tourism cooperation. The MoU will aim to strengthen tourism partnerships, facilitate a high-level familiarization visit by Vietravel’s senior executives to Siem Reap Province and Cambodia’s coastal destinations, and explore new opportunities for tourism development.

Furthermore, both sides exchanged in-depth views on the “Three Ancient Cities in Three Countries” tourism package, linking Huế in Viet Nam, Siem Reap in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Luang Prabang in Lao PDR. The initiative aims to create an attractive and innovative cross-border tourism product, supported by new air connectivity linking the three ancient cities across the three countries. This new tour package is expected to boost tourist flows among Cambodia, Viet Nam, and Lao PDR, while also attracting visitors from third-country markets and destinations around the world.
