MoT Showcases Cambodia’s Attractive Tourism Potential

Vietnam.With the high approval of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and on the occasion of leading a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Tourism and Cambodia’s private tourism sector to participate in the 20th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE-HCMC 2026), H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over the official opening ceremony of ITE-HCMC 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

The opening ceremony was presided over by H.E. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and attended by tourism ministers from countries across the region, ambassadors, senior leaders of public and private institutions, as well as numerous national and international guests.

The International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE-HCMC) is one of the most significant international tourism events in the Greater Mekong Subregion and serves as a strategic platform for promoting tourism cooperation, business connectivity and market expansion among regional destinations and international partners. This year marks the 20th anniversary of ITE-HCMC, held under the theme “Vibrant Connections Global Destinations.” The event brings together more than 260 high-level international buyers from over 40 countries, more than 500 exhibitors and leading tourism companies from Vietnam and around the world, over 20,000 pre-scheduled business appointments, and is expected to attract more than 30,000 participants.

Through its participation in the official opening ceremony of ITE-HCMC 2026, Cambodia reaffirmed its active commitment to strengthening tourism cooperation with Vietnam and other countries in the region, while further promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential, expanding its international tourism markets, and attracting more Vietnamese and international visitors to experience the Kingdom of Cambodia.
