Phnom Penh. H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, granted a courtesy call to Mr. Lim Lork Johnson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Genrich Investment Co., Ltd., along with his senior executive delegation, to pay a courtesy call and hold in-depth discussions on establishing cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Genrich Investment Co., Ltd. related to research and sustainable tourism development, environmental conservation, carbon credits, and climate solutions in Cambodia. The two parties also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Ministry of Tourism headquarters.
On this significant occasion, the Minister expressed high appreciation, praise, and gratitude to Genrich Investment Co., Ltd. for its excellent initiative aimed at developing Cambodia’s tourism sector sustainably.
The Minister also requested that the company continue supporting and promoting Cambodia’s natural tourism and ecotourism potential through its partner networks and media channels, encouraging investment opportunities in sustainable tourism projects that link natural resource conservation, environmental protection, and natural tourism development. Furthermore, he requested support for organizing familiarization trips (FAM Trips) for international partners and investors to further explore Cambodia’s tourism potential.
Additionally, the Minister highlighted Cambodia’s political, economic, social, and tourism landscape, emphasizing that Cambodia continues to maintain peace, stability, security, and public order, which serve as a solid foundation for tourism development and investment attraction. He noted that the Royal Government of the 7th Legislature, under the wise and visionary leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, considers tourism a priority sector to drive national economic growth and improve citizens’ livelihoods in line with the Pentagonal Strategy – Phase I.
Mr. Lim Lork Johnson expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the Ministry of Tourism and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the ministry in studying and developing projects related to sustainable climate solutions, carbon credits, environmental restoration, and ecotourism in Cambodia, in compliance with the active laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
