The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) is utilising marketing tactics at four of its industrial estates to attract more Thai and foreign investors.
New packages granting discounts on industrial land sales and exemptions pertaining to land rental and fees for the use of facilities on the estates for specific periods have been launched in the effort to attract more

investment.
“We expect the packages to help investors make their decisions more easily to invest in Thailand,” said Veeris Ammarapala, governor of the IEAT.
The packages have been in place since Oct 1, 2022 and expire on Sept 30 this year.

The four industrial estates covered are the Southern Region Industrial Estate and the Songkhla Industrial Estate, which are both located in the southern province of Songkhla, as well as the Sa Kaeo Industrial Estate in the East and the Phichit Industrial Estate in the North.
New investors who want to purchase industrial land within the Southern Region Industrial Estate will receive discounts of between 15% and 20%, said Mr Veeris.
Fees for the use of facilities have been waived for one year.
Existing manufacturers who lease land in the Southern Region Industrial Estate will also be granted exemptions on the land rental for a period of two years and facility fees for one year, according to the IEAT.
