The Ministry of Tourism Continues Promoting Cambodia’s Visa Exemption Policy

       Phnom Penh, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China: The Ministry of Tourism Continues Promoting Cambodia’s Visa Exemption Policy and Encourages Shanghai-Based Chinese Tourism Enterprises to Develop More Travel Packages to Cambodia.

 

On the occasion of accompanying Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, during his working visit to Beijing and participation in the 2026 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, held from 15–17 July 2026 in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, and with the highest authorization, H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, took the opportunity to hold separate working meetings with Ms. Sun Jie, President of Touch Travel Agency and Representative of the Ministry of Tourism in Shanghai; Ms. Maggie Yang, Vice President of Overseas Destination Marketing; and Mr. Romain Woo, Founder of Van Hao Sports. These tourism enterprises have extensive experience in developing travel packages for Chinese tourists visiting ASEAN countries, including the Kingdom of Cambodia.

 

During the meetings, H.E. the Minister promoted Cambodia’s pilot visa exemption policy for Chinese citizens and highlighted the Kingdom’s diverse tourism potential, investment opportunities, and newly developed tourism products. He also invited the three leading tourism enterprises to continue strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism by developing travel packages, undertaking joint promotional campaigns, and organizing Familiarization Trips (FAM Trips) to encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Cambodia during the implementation of the visa exemption policy.
