Delegates from Myanmar, Nepal, and the Philippines to Meet with Cambodian Tourism Companies and Establish Numerous Tourism Collaborations

       Phnom Penh. H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over and delivered the opening speech at the 5th Cambodia Travel Match 2026 Mini-Series (5th CTM 2026 Mini-Series). The event was organized by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Cambodia Chapter, with the participation of H.E.

 

HUOT Hai, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh and representative of H.E. KHUONG Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh; Neak Oknha LUU Meng, Co-Chair of the Tourism Working Group; Oknha DIN Somethearith, President of the Cambodia Tourism Federation (CTF); Dr. THOURN Sinan, Chairman of the PATA Cambodia Chapter; representatives of the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB); representatives of the Cambodia Hotel Association (CHA); as well as national and international delegates and tourism operators from Myanmar, Nepal, and the Philippines, alongside international buyers and Cambodian tourism service providers, and journalists totaling over 130 participants at the Crowne Plaza Phnom Penh by IHG.

On this occasion, the Minister extended a warm welcome to the delegations from Myanmar, Nepal, and the Philippines, as well as to all attendees. He expressed high praise and appreciation to the PATA Cambodia Chapter as the lead organizer, together with the Cambodia Tourism Federation (CTF), the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB), and all relevant partners for organizing this international event. The initiative aims to enhance public-private sector cooperation, expand business opportunities, and promote Cambodia’s tourism potential to international markets.

Furthermore, the Minister highlighted that the CTM 2026 Mini-Series has become an essential tourism trade platform aligned with the priority policies of the Royal Government under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The initiative focuses on developing the tourism sector by strengthening public-private partnerships, increasing access to international tourism markets, and promoting sustainable tourism development in Cambodia. It serves as a practical, high-yield platform connecting international buyers with Cambodian tourism service providers to expand business networks, exchange experiences, and share updates on regional and global tourism developments. This initiative enhances Cambodia’s competitiveness in the international tourism market, expands its presence into new markets, and supports local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and regional tourism operators by providing them with opportunities to access global markets.

 

In addition, the Minister invited international tourists, visitors, and investors to visit and explore Cambodia’s rich potential with confidence and peace of mind. He encouraged them to experience the warm hospitality famously known as the “Cambodian Smile” and the friendliness of the Cambodian people, which serve as Cambodia’s unique identity.

 

It is worth noting that the Cambodia Travel Match 2026 Mini-Series (CTM 2026 Mini-Series) is executed through close collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism, the Cambodia Tourism Federation (CTF), and the PATA Cambodia Chapter as the Lead Organizer. It serves as a year-round strategic destination marketing campaign under the theme “Cambodia to the World,” designed to create B2B platforms between international buyers and Cambodian suppliers, expand markets, attract tourists and investments, and promote Cambodia as a diversified and competitive tourism destination on the global stage.
